Lounge and Loafers.

I splurged on this sweatshirt at Anthropologie recently. Let’s be honest, an $80 price tag for a fancy lounge top is pretty extreme. That being said, I’m going to wear the crap out of this thing. Cost per wear, right?

I would also like to praise my mother for letting me raid her closet. I recently discovered these vintage Cole Haan loafers, and I love them to pieces. So thanks, Jorie. You da, you da best. I promise I will give them back … eventually.

The new crop.

We are experiencing a pretty significant flashback to the 70s right now, and it is making me even more excited for the arrival of sunshine and warm temperatures. I think it’s apparent that the “thing” this summer is going to be cropped tops. This top is one that I recently received from Questhaven Fashions, and because I couldn’t wait for beach weather to bust it out, I paired it over a high waisted maxi skirt to make it more spring appropriate. I also think this is an awesome option for those who are not comfortable baring their midriff. I am so excited to sport it over a swimsuit this summer!

I’d also like to celebrate the appearance of sunglasses in these pictures. Sunshine, for the win! I am loving aviators right now and am considering investing in a more high end pair, particularly these Ray-Bans that I found discounted on SmartBuyGlasses. I love the extra detail on the top bar! What do you guys think about buying designer sunglasses? Do you take care of them, or do they get destroyed? I’m having a hard time deciding.

Dirty hair upstyle tutorial.

This video is a bit of a flashback. I recorded this before I cut my hair off and it has taken me forever to complete – BUT it is still a relevant style for many hair lengths. I realistically could do a version of this style now that my hair is much shorter so I hope that this serves as informational and inspirational for many of you!

Also, in the video I claim that it had been 48 hours since I had washed my hair. In reality, it had been four days. I don’t know where that 48 hour time frame came from. Perhaps my conscience knew it was too disgusting to admit the actual duration in which I had gone without washing my hair. Anyway, four days. Not 48 hours. I know – gross.
