This outfit makes me feel like I should be strolling around in some city in Europe while peeking into the shops that line the streets. The comfort of the sweater, skirt, and heels, are perfect for a day of sightseeing. Yes, you heard me, I said the heels are comfortable. Why? Because they are Naturalizers. I could wear these for days on end and have no issues. They are the perfect travel shoe!

Speaking of travel, Kai and I decided on St. Kitts for our upcoming vacation. We are going in July, and it’ll be the perfect re-charge for us considering it takes place when we are in the middle of our wedding season. Just a little heads up, as stated in my FAQ, my blog pictures up until this point have been straight out of the camera. Can we give a big round of applause to my talented photographer, Kai BestHusbandEver Heeringa? Because he is so awesome at what he does, my pictures don’t really need any editing. Although now that I have this fancy schmancy Mac, things might change a little ’round here. These pictures were taken indoors (obviously) and needed just a little pick-me-up, so Kai created a pre-set for them!

Anyway, long story short, I may start occasionally editing some of my pictures. However, this doesn’t mean I am going to be airbrushing my face or cutting inches off of my hips and thighs. It’s still me over here, just a more professional version of me who owns a laptop that can handle running Lightroom. I think Kai deserves a round of applause for that, too.

I didn’t bring along my camera to the event because it’s like hauling around a brick and I wanted to be able to shop! Fortunately, there was a paparaz…photographer at the event and I got my hands on the pictures (Thanks, Sam!). Another big piece of news (wow, this is the longest blog post ever), last night I got a text from Kai that said “I’m at the mall and I just bought you something at Gap.”

There were three things about this text that surprised me:
1. Kai was willingly at the mall.
2. Kai bought me clothing.
3. He bought it from the Gap.

Why would Kai be at the mall buying me things from the store that I get an employee discount at? Consider me confused. When I got home, I went to change into pajamas and saw a plastic Gap bag with a box inside sitting on the bed. “Okay,” I thought, “this must be what he bought me at the mall … but why did he put it in a box and a bag?” BECAUSE THE BAG WAS HIDING THE MACBOOK PRO THAT WAS INSIDE. THAT’S WHY.

And that’s also why I have the sneakiest, best husband ever.

“Because you earned it”, he said.
