Here is the completed updo:

And the tutorial!

Upside down french braided bun tutorial.

I wasn’t planning on doing a tutorial for this look but I got such a great response from yesterday’s post that I thought it was a good idea! I would just like to clarify that this is NOT an original look of mine. I’ve definitely seen this done before so I don’t want to take credit for it, this is simply a tutorial!

As I mentioned in my post from yesterday, this something I used to do with my hair a lot while I was growing it out and the bottom layers wouldn’t quite reach a normal top knot. That being said, if your hair is a little shorter, you might need to do some pinning and extra hair spraying to keep those pieces from falling out of the braid!

Alright, so this is the final look:

and here is the tutorial:

I hope you give this look a try! Thanks for watching!

Twisted chignon tutorial.

As promised, I have a hair tutorial for the look that I wore a couple of days ago! I’m calling this style the “Twisted Chignon”.

This is what the hairstyle looks like:

And thanks to this video, I realized the tag on the back of my shirt was sticking out. Whew, glad I didn’t leave the house like that … that would have been embarrassing. :)

I hope this look works for you guys! If you try this out, I would love to see it! Send me your pictures on my twitter or facebook (links in the right side bar)!
