St. Patrick’s Day Style

Filed Under: Color Crush, Flashbacks, Style Board

I began this blog post with the expectation that I would have outfit upon outfit featuring the color green to share with you. After going through the Sidewalk Ready archives, I realize that green is one color that I don’t wear that often. When I was younger I wore green regularly because someone told me once that it brought out the color in my eyes, but as you can imagine, dressing a certain way to compliment your eye color can only last so long. Perhaps after this green-wearing marathon, I completely exhausted my desire to wear this hue or maybe it’s been a more natural separation, but either way, my wardrobe contains very few St. Patrick’s Day acceptable items these days. When getting ready this morning, I did manage to integrate a shade of emerald into my outfit which I will share with you later. But for now, here are a handful of ways I have worn the color green in the past along with a St. Patrick’s Day inspired shopping guide!

You just tend to wear more earth-tone greens than bright greens, and that’s ok!

All the green! Give me all the green! It’s my favorite color and sadly, I don’t think I wear it enough myself. In fact, I styled up my one green cardigan on the blog today and it’s so green I feel like I can only wear it on St. Patty’s day.

So thanks for all the great green suggestions! :)

  3. I actually laughed out loud when I saw the first picture. I must have had it in mind without realizing it when I wore this recent outfit (http://countrygirlcityfashion.wordpress.com/2014/03/11/aztec-sweater/), because they’re pretty dang similar. Though you look a whole lot more put together. ;)

Perfect outfits as always. I love the nontraditional greens for St. Patty’s day, it’s always a plus for me. I don’t like following the norm. Hope you had a great one!

I’m the same way! I don’t own a lot of green clothing at all – I’m not really sure why, either – I look good in it!

Hope you had a nice St. Patrick’s Day! I completely forgot about it and wore pink to work instead. Thankfully, being a teacher, no one gave me too much crap about it. ;-)
