Welcome, 2014.

Sorry for the lack of posting the past few days! I always try to make Sidewalk Ready a priority but sometimes personal life takes precedence. It’s been a challenging end of the year, but I am looking forward to 2014 with optimism. This year I want to travel, grow in my career, and make steps toward being more settled. Aside from these tangible goals, I strive to live day by day and embrace life whole-heartedly by not taking anything for granted.

I hope you all had an awesome night saying goodbye to last year and hello to this year. How do you hope to live in 2014?

For nostalgia’s sake, here are Sidewalk Ready’s most loved 13 outfits of 2013. Click on each photo to be referred back to the original post.

  1. It seems like your secret to looking perfect is sweaters! You look amazing in all the photos.

I had a rough end to my year, too, but in 2014 I want to live more consciously – mostly of my body and mind, but also of the environment, other people, etc. Also, I want to continue living for the moment and treating every day like it might be my last!

    Happy new year. :)

  2. Great looks! I missed a lot of these so I’m glad you posted them here. For 2014, I have a lot of goals that I’m excited about. I’ll be sharing them on the blog on Monday (which will make them real!! hehe). Happy New Year!!

2013 was a tough one for me as well, but thankfully, it had a happy ending.. so 2014 is all about giving thanks and reflecting. And with your help, looking good while doing that. :)
I love all of these outfits, and your blog always gives me inspiration to look great, no matter what is going on around me. And some how, that helps me feel better. So thanks so much for your blog, and I hope you have a wonderful New Year!!

Kind of amusing… I’ve been following you/your blog for quite some time now, though don’t believe I’ve ever commented on a post.

To pop my cherry, hah, I just wanted to make a note of how it really is the little things, amidst the constant craze, that assist in clarity & happiness. In reading your blog, I’ve found many parallels… It’s not only relieving to know that we’re not alone in our feelings and/or thought-process, but that as we age (I’m 31) it surely doesn’t get any easier. I appreciate your sheer honesty. I appreciate the little things… the quotes, music… and of course, the outfit posts. I’ve been working in the coffee industry for about 10 years now… love what I do, though do not make a ton of money. Your style is accessible which is refreshing.

Thanks for continuing to share… Happy 2014! Here’s to a year brimming with evolution, adventure, laughter & love…~
