The Formula.

Lately I have seemed to have a formula when it comes to getting dressed. Pants + top + cardigan. Fortunately, I happen to have a stockpile of each of these items so each look feels fresh due to different color schemes and textures. I’ve come to realize these patterns in my wardrobe, which helped me justify the decision to purchase these boots a couple of months ago. They are similar to other pairs I already own, but since I wear the others so frequently I knew I would get a lot of use out of these as well. I no longer feel pressure to introduce completely unique items to my wardrobe. I know what I like and choose to invest in the items I will have for the long haul.

Gorgeous new color! I go through phases of dyeing mine a couple times a year to not dyeing it for 2 years or more. Never a happy medium it seems. :)

Stay warm as we get another mini polar vortex!

Love the outfit! I’ve been sticking to a similar formula myself, mostly out of necessity. I teach at two different colleges each day, and with all the back and forth in the snow and ice, I decided to ditch the idea of dressing up. It has been a lot of jeans, sweaters, scarves, and boots! I figure that if I wake up and the wind chill is below zero, no one will get upset if I forgo the skirts and heels!

    Stay warm up there!
