I hadn’t listened to this song in quite awhile, but then last night I was listening to a Spotify radio station created based off of my “Pretty Music” playlist (see here) and it came on randomly. I felt it was an appropriate song of the week because it was this time last year that I heard it for the first time. Back then my favorite lyrics were in the chorus. This time around, I heard a little something different. I love these:

“I saw a friend of mine the other day and he told me that my eyes were gleaming.
I said I had been away and he knew the depths I was meaning.
And it felt so good to see his face or the comfort invested in my soul.
To feel the warmth of a smile when he said, “I’m happy to have you home.
… I’m happy to have you home.”

Mystery of the Lyubov Orlova: Ghost ship full of cannibal rats ‘could be heading for Britain’”  Just because it made me laugh. I mean, just kidding. This is very serious news.

Keira Knightly. Because … shoes.

I watched “Frances Ha” for the second time this week and was reminded how much I adore this monologue. And the entire movie, really.

Happiest of weekends to you!

Love the Amy Poehler quote at the end. I finally met my new boss this week, and she is definitely one of those people who “do” things – and it’s great to meet people like that throughout my work life, especially when the people in my personal life lately seem to fall more into the other category.

Have a great weekend, and thank you for posting so much music I’ve never heard of – it has all been great so far, and I’m glad to expand my musical horizons!

Love the song so. much. But especially love the quote. Thank you for sharing that.
