A Monday Memoir.

This past week has been monumental and full of beauty. Skirts that spin and heels are good for my soul and spirit. Not only did I don this uplifting outfit, which is actually a skirt worn over a dress, I also spent my weekend in the wonder that is Lake Michigan.

The past couple of days have looked a little like this: Looking out onto the water engaging in reflective and painful conversation. Discussing hurts. Expressing needs. Washing mascara tracks off my face in the waves. Then letting it go. Photographing a wedding in a peaceful state of mind. Swimming in the dark under a blanket of stars. Reconnecting with friends. Making pacts. Making plans. Long beach walks. Talking without ceasing. Tacos.

I’m feeling refreshed and powerful. Let’s take on the world together, shall we?

I’m always doing layering like that. It’s like my dresses all work perfectly as tops too…and anything to keep me from buying too many clothes is a good thing in my book!

Glad to hear you had a good time at the lake, and that you’re back in good spirits. :-)

Lovely outfit and glad to hear you were able to turn around your weekend for the better. Not sure what you are going through but I hope things are okay. I have to say I’m absolutely loving your honesty lately and your writing style. Hard to explain why but it reminds me a bit of Keiko Lynn’s writing (and I mean that as a huge compliment because I love her writing).
