Along with budding blooms, warmer winds, and rejuvenating rain, spring also brings a new wave into my wardrobe. I take a turn to the girly side of my fashion aesthetic and embrace simplicity. With higher temperatures, there isn’t a need for as many layers, and my skirts and dresses finally leave their hangers.
On the first official day of spring I felt it was only appropriate that I would wear one of my favorite dresses … with a few modifications. Unfortunately, it’s still a winter wonderland here in Grand Rapids so it’s not quite time for bare legs. A pair of tights, wool socks, ankle boots, a cardigan, and a jacket were all necessary to pull this off, but in the end, I still managed to wear a dress. C’mon spring. We’re ready for you!

I love the lighter colors, the nod to spring! I wish it’d get Springy here too but we’re getting 4-6 inches of white death here tonight!
I did the same thing the other day with a spring dress. I just couldn’t wait! I wish spring would come already, but you look pretty darn cute under the circumstances!

Silly question – but where are your socks from? I am struggling to find some thicker socks that I can scrunch a bit!
I don’t know. I’ve had these socks as long as I can remember! They are wool, but thin.
