Happy Valentine’s Day! I actually wore this look last week to a fancy dinner and event, but when I was doing my blog post schedule for this week, it naturally fell on Valentine’s Day. Perfect!
When I saw this dress in Maggy London’s lookbook, I immediately loved it. It’s definitely a stand out piece! I did have the length altered a bit to flatter my petite height – but it was totally worth it. I know I will have this dress for a long time because it’s so classic.
I really wanted to keep the accessorizing with this dress as simple as possible, and I went back and forth on whether or not this necklace from Florence Adams was too much. However, when I had it all put together, I ended up loving the mix of textures and the touch of glam … which definitely serves as a lesson in giving unexpected combinations a chance!
