Lounge Wear.

Something I’ve been purchasing more of lately is cute lounge wear. Once I began working from home, I quickly realized that were days that it wasn’t necessary to get dressed since I wasn’t leaving the house. However, I didn’t like wearing the sloppy tees that I sleep in all the time. I feel like I’m more productive if I shower in the morning and then change into clothing that’s different than my pajamas, but something still functional. Cute loungewear is the perfect ensemble for days like this.

I am loving this new sweatshirt from Beauxx. It is comfortable and warm, and ideal for working around the house. But something else I love about it is that it’s adorable so when I need to quick run an errand, which I did later this day, I can easily throw on jeans, ankle boots, and a jacket. I also can’t wait to dress it up a little with a skirt and heels – easy chic!

Important post script: I received an email from a reader recently who has family in Newtown, CT and she notified me that a national candlelight vigil is being held at 5pm on December 24. If you are able, please take part! Here are the details from Christine:

On Monday, December 24 5:00pm, please light a candle [or use a flameless battery operated candle] for the victims and their families of Sandy Hook, Newtown, Connecticut and place it at the end of your driveway and let it burn through the night. As you do this, please reflect on what has happened, on your families and friends, and on what we can do as a community to protect each other. This is not limited to one town, state, or even country. Please, wherever you are in the world, share this with your friends and participate. Your support is incredible. Let’s make the candlelight so bright those beautiful babies and their teachers can see it in Heaven!

Love your comfy outfit! Super cute to see you with your pets too! I’m a fellow Michigander hailing from the east side. I’ve been following your blog for a little while now and really love the outfit combinations you put together! Love your home decor too. I also have that scratch off map. It’s super fun and inspires me to visit more places so I can scratch more off! Looks like you don’t have much scratched off, time to travel!

I love how cozy this outfit it. I know what you mean about showering and getting dressed it makes me more productive for sure!

I only work 3 days a week in an office, which gives me great opportunity to dress nicely, but the other 4 days of the week were getting pretty scary, so I’ve been trying to invest in some nice “relax” wear, stuff that I promise myself I won’t work out in (thus destroying, haha) and won’t sleep in often. Love your outfit here! Cute, functional, and doesn’t quite look like pajamas, which is the best at-home type of outfit. :)

PS- Did you guys get a ton of snow today? I’m down toward Novi, and we got some today, but will be in GR for Christmas and was kind of hoping for a white Christmas up there! :)

  6. I love this cute yet cozy outfit! I just bought a nice J.Crew sweatshirt the other day and it’s totally perfect for this type of day! :) I do freelance design from home, so I really need to get in a better habit of putting myself together even when I’m not leaving the house.

  7. love your comfy outfit!! and thanks for sharing the info about the candlelight vigil!

I’m so, so sorry for your reader. She’s in my prayers and I will light a candle in KY for her.

Could you come decorate my appartment? I love your home só much, it’s so pretty! Okay, since that’s impossible, maybe some decorating tips? I don’t know how to get a room together, I never accomplish a coherent look. I’m gonna move this summer, and since I don’t get it together at my recent 14 m2 (studenthousing, sharing bathroom and kitchen), I don’t even know how to begin with a whole appartment. And then I don’t even consider my boyfriend’s wishes, who I’m moving in with.
