I would consider this outfit my full fledged fall style. A scarf, boots, layers – hello, Autumn!
Jigsaw London sent over these leather knee-high beauties during the summer, and I’ve been so excited to bust them out! The past two years I’ve been wearing my Gap Outlet boots, and that doesn’t sound too terrible on it’s own – but what about when I say, “The past two years I’ve been wearing my pleather, zero-support, flimsy soled, $19.99 Gap Outlet boots”? Doesn’t sound so pretty anymore, huh? It was time I got myself a pair of grown up lady, real leather, hard soled, NICE boots.
p.s. Little sis was really excited to acquire the Gap Outlet boots. I really am amazed they still have some life left. They held up surprisingly well and hopefully she will love them! Sisterhood of the travelling boots – whaddup?
Here’s a little trick for ya – this bracelet is actually a belt.

those CAT boots i gave you a long time ago were real leather!!
yes! I love those too!! I should have said BROWN boots.
lol
This is the PERFECT fall outfit!
Oh my gosh, you’re reading my mind. I’m planning to invest in my first real leather boots as a Christmas or early Christmas gift to myself. I have three or four year old boots that I got at some outlet, and they’re definitely in need of replacement.
Also, LOVE the episode of friends. “Oh my gosh! That is so not the opposite of taking somebody’s underwear!!”
Love this outfit! So classically fall.
Love this laid back Autumn look! I just got a mustard colored cardigan (though yours looks a bit darker) and I can’t wait to mix that in my fall wardrobe! Though where I live, Autumn is more a state of mind than a weather phenomenon (since it’s about 85-95 degrees here year round)
Belt as a bracelet AND a Friends reference?! Best outfit post ever

i want some socks like that to wear with my boots and glad to see yours are from f21. that means they were likely a steal!

Great post! Love how your colors “pop” against the red backdrop.
You’re ridiculous. I enjoy it.
Cute boots!
Ah! I love the Friends reference!! And the outfit! Unfortunately it is way too hot around here for me to wear full-fledged Fall
Also, love the hair! Wish I could do it!
Love this look! And those boots are beautiful. Love it all!

Love the Chandler quote, and love the outfit! As a Cali girl, we don’t have much cause for cute fall clothes… as least not until winter. I’m still in light dresses and shorts! Love love love!
I love your full fledge fall outfit! I think fall outfits are the best ones.

okay I am in LOVE with those boots! I’ve been pining for a “grown up pair” myself (after wearing my tattered black blowfish fold-overs for waaaaay too long) and I’m currently abroad and unable to buy a pair! they’re definitely going on my Christmas list, but until then I can’t wait to see how you style yours!

I love fall too. I love being able to bundle myself up in sweaters and scarves. The drop in temperature is such a relief after a hot summer too.
I’ve got a pair of chocolate brown UGGS that are going on two years old now. I love UGGS. They’re so cozy and you can wear them with bare feet. They age really well too, but I think I’ve also just taken good care of them. I could probably get another two years out of them at least. I’ve considered a pair of leather boots, but I just can’t say no to that sheep lining.
Haha! Yay for autumn and yay for Chanandler Bong!
Ooh, gurl, I love those boots. They’re gorgeous!
I think this is one of my favourite outfits on your blog! Love it
I LOVE the boots!!!!
I love the colors in this outfit!
Play-by-play of my reaction to this outfit as I scrolled downward.
“Ah! So cute!”
“OMG! The skirt! I love that skirt!”
“Those boots are gorgeous! And so cute with the socks!”
*still scrolling*
“Oh, I hope the skirt is still available… and cheap because I’ve told myself I can’t buy more clothes for awhile.”
“For that matter, I hope the boots are not as much as I think they are.”
“Oh, shoot! No ‘same’ option for the skirt. Dangit.”
*sad face*
“And the boots are too expensive for me. Oh, double boo!”
“But such a cute outfit!”
“Maybe the skirt was wool. Then I couldn’t have bought it anyway.”
“I wonder how tall Kayley is…”
So, Kayley, is the skirt wool? And, if you don’t mind sharing, how tall are you?
hahaha this was hilarious. yes, the skirt is wool. I’m 5’4″!
Oh, I’m happy (in a weird way) to hear the skirt is wool. I am allergic, so that would’ve been a no go. At least I don’t need to feel like it was the ‘one that got away’ now!
I should market my skills at guessing heights. I was going to guess 5’4″ or 5’5″. Not sure how marketable that skill is though…
Anyway, THANKS!
I’m pretty sure every woman needs a pair of boots like those! They’re lovely

I’m hoping to buy some boots this week- I’ll make sure to go with some good quality soles!

The boots are a great for your first “real” pair of boots! I also like the fact that it’s time for layering and that you did it so beautifully! Oh, and cute earrings too!
I am so geekishly excited about your Chandler quote (my cat is named after him).
I LOVE your color scheme. I have been trying to figure out what to pair with my black (real) riding boots. I rarely compete anymore, so I figure they could make a good fashion accessory since I paid over $300 for them…I will be keeping an eye out for more of your boot pairings!
I have the same pair of Gap Outlet boots, and frankly, I was shocked every time you wore those- they absolutely kill my feet. Literally no support, and I never felt like I could walk in them. Stand, yes. Walk, no. But they are/were cute!
i love the friends reference! i use that one all the time! That lip color looks great on you.
You look gorgeous and so ready for Fall. Love the boots!

This is autumn to perfection! Great look.
