Stripes and bright stars.

Yesterday was really hot. Like, really hot. Close to 100. Right now it is even hotter so please excuse the fact that the way I look today will not be captured and featured in a blog post. Instead, please enjoy the semi-melted version of me from yesterday!

My Fourth of July was outstanding. I attended a library sale with my mom and dad in the morning, and afterwards Kai and I headed out to a friend’s lake house. We spent the afternoon swimming, playing lawn games, and laying around and talking. It was perfect. Afterwards, we went out to my parents’ property (no house yet! ) on a different lake and Kai and I paddle boarded around the perimeter of the lake and watched some fireworks with my parents and their friends.

I hope you all had a nice and relaxing fourth of July holiday!

This is a really nice, not-overly-patriotic outfit for the 4th. And I’m feeling you on the heat…I spent yesterday at the pool and then at a movie. The temps have been cuh-razy!

I am so in love with this 4th look…it’s subtle with the denim and patterned shorts, but still totally Americana. You look very fetching and cool as a cucumber! We must live nearby each other….it was almost 100 in my home city too.

Great look! I especially like those shoes. Banana always has the best stuff – and great sales! What lipstick are you wearing? It’s an awesome color.
