Sorry for the short break! I wanted to incorporate some of Kai’s landscape photography into these posts but he insisted on editing them. I decide to hold off on posting because I didn’t want him to be working on our trip. Thanks for being patient!
I can’t remember what day this was of our vacation. The third day? Maybe this was Wednesday? I can’t remember. That’s how you know it was a good trip.
Anyway, this day we drove around the island. When we travel we always get rental cars because we don’t like to stay at the resort the whole time, and we also don’t like relying on taxis. We stopped at three places along our drive – one was the Black Rocks. The Black Rocks are a volcanic rock formation along the side of the island. The other was an old, beautiful church that we found while we were looking for the Black Rocks. Our final stop was Fort Brimstone. This fort is from the 17th century so it was a must-see for us. We love history and this fort was definitely historical!
I also got a pretty bad sunburn on my shoulders this day and it took me the rest of the week to get rid of these thick swimsuit tan lines … but I won in the end.

I am such a nerd: in the midst of all these gorgeous photos and outfit pictures, all I zeroed in on was “17th century fort!!” “Fort Brimstone” is the best name– you couldn’t make that up!
History nerding aside (ahem), this vacation is just stunning. The silhouette shot makes me swoon.
If you do a photograph giveaway with these like you did with the africa pics I will enter a million times! Such pretty pics. And Fort Brimstone, most awesome name, ever!
