I am updating poolside in St. Kitts! If you follow me on Twitter, let me take a moment to formally apologize for my string of complaining tweets a couple of days ago. We had the most frustrating and stressful travel experience. Long story short, our first flight was delayed by four hours because of a flat tire and the airport not having a mechanic on staff. We were then re-routed from Grand Rapids to Chicago, Chicago to Miami, Miami to San Juan, and San Juan to St. Kitts. At the gate in Chicago, the worker insisted we check our carry on bags despite our pleading that they just put it in the cargo hold with the strollers. We had very short lay overs and had a feeling that if the bags were checked, they wouldn’t make it to St. Kitts. Turns out our intuition was right. Upon arrival in St. Kitts at 9pm, our bags were M.I.A. They came in the following day on the 2pm flight. After a day and a half of running around we decided to mentally start our vacation over. Once we got our bags (and a new hotel room – the room we stayed in on our first night had a leaking fridge, loud neighbors, and two double beds), we showered, got dressed, and went to dinner. We took a scenic drive on the way and stopped a couple of times for pictures.

Here are a couple instagrams that we took at dinner! We went to the Spice House and treated ourselves to wine, two appetizers and entrees. Afterwards, we walked the beach at our resort and then ordered dessert room service.

That’s where we stayed!!! I absolutely loved it there. We stayed in one of the villas, ate at all of their restaurants, especially their pizza shack. The beach there is beautiful, as well as one right on the other side of the island from there.
I hope you have an amazing vacation and hopefully, your flight home won’t be so bad!
