Mid-day in Paris.

I think it should be pretty easy to understand why I feel very Parisian today. The stripes, the red lips, the faux peplum. Wait, what? Yeah, faux peplum. I actually used two skirts to create this look. One, a fuller shorter skirt with an elastic waistband, and the other, a streamline pencil skirt. To create the peplum, I simply tucked the elastic waistband on the full skirt down into the pencil skirt and voila! Peplum ala Kayley.

As others have said, the faux peplum skirt is gorgeous and ingenious, particularly because you’ll still have two great skirts to wear once peplum skirts aren’t as trendy anymore. Instead of spending money on a trend, you made a trend out of two basics. Pretty brilliant.

This makes for the most gorgeous peplum…it’s a little longer and fuller than usual, which to me is both more elegant and flattering. I’ve GOT to try this!
