Today’s look is a re-wear. I first gave this ensemble a try last week Wednesday. My good friend, Danielle, was in town from Denver so we had a dinner/hookah date. I’m always so happy to see her, and next time we get together it’ll be at her place. I’m visiting in July! Anyone have suggestions on things I have to do/see while I’m there? It’ll be my first extended visit to Denver!

If you follow my twitter you may have seen my status about how I cut some new layers into my hair (on a whim, don’t try this at home) and then used a new hair product that smells exactly like Fun Dip. I used it again today and I’m really loving it …  it’s the Surface Hair Health Art Taffy Whip. I’ve been scrunching it in after my hair is curled and then sealing it with hair spray. It adds texture, volume, and most importantly, leaves my hair smelling like a packet of flavored sugar. Awesome stuff .. .and no, they didn’t pay me to say that.
So anyway, I curled my hair away from my face with a 1.5″ inch curling iron, scrunched in Surface Taffy Whip, and finished with hairspray.
I also think it might be time for a color re-fresh. The blonde is starting to peek out again! One of these days …

I love this look on you! So colorful and fun. And your hair looks great!

Girlfriend. I live 20 minutes from Denver. So excited to hear you are coming down here! There really isn’t much that you “must see” but 16th street mall is cool as is Pearl Street Mall in Boulder (where I dwell). There is a few really cool (big) flea markets down in Denver as well. The museum was doing an exhibit on YSL, but I think that is over now
A lot of people like the Aquarium, but I find it kinda pricey. And, of course, there is Six Flags. Hope you have a lot of fun here and try to represent when you get back!
this is, as always, beautiful! i’m especially loving your shoes and bag with such an otherwise casual outfit.
and amazing deal on the hair! i do love fun dip.
i spent a summer in denver and i have to recommend – visiting boulder for a day, the pearl street mall, and happening across a good old illegal petes, a bar that serves $4 happy hour margaritas from 4 p.m. on, and they’re strong!

I don’t know anything about Denver, but I DO know I love this outfit. If you’re ever visiting Indianapolis, though, I can definitely help you out

I’m addicted to folds on jeans. I use all the times this summer.
Love the bag
This might be one of my favorite outfits of yours! Aside from the one featuring the Daisy Rae top, of course

I’ve never been to Colorado, but it sounds fun! I think I love those shoes a little bit more every time you wear them

I love them, too! A little too much, I think. They need new caps on the heels. The metal on the left one is starting to peek through …
I just moved to Denver last week and I think you would be hard-pressed to find something that wasn’t fun to do! As others mentioned, Boulder is close and beautiful. There are tons of restaurants, bars, and farmer’s markets in Denver proper. I actually coincidentally have written two posts about things I’ve done in Denver as a newbie if they are of help. Enjoy! (And if you find any cute boutiques while you’re out, please be sure to share!)

I love a fun, fresh look for summer. This is cute and breezy – perfect for those hot days! I’ve never been to Denver, so I have no advice for you…but in case you ever come to the booming metropolis of Madison, WI I have plenty of tips
I love that shirt. I just ordered a similar one in teal, I am excited for it to arrive. Have fun in Denver, I have never been but hope to go someday. So you will definitely have to post about your ‘must see/do’ things for Denver.

Smells like fun dip?! SOLD.
I seriously love your hair. Can we trade?
It’s not as great as it seems, I just have lots of practice with styling it!
Hi Kayls,
I live in Denver and really what you’re into dictates what you might find interesting – but a must do is the Boulder Farmer’s Market on Sat (amazing local food, music and just about a 5 min walk from Pearl St … In Denver – I recommend brunch at Snooze, the Botanical Gardens, and at night – do visit Little Man Ice Cream (in LoHi) – they are open till midnight and they have amazing ice cream! Or drinks @ Linger – amazing view of the city at night and it’s right next door to the ice cream place, basically LoHi is the “hip” hang out for the young professionals … hope that helps! Or you can hit the mtns and do some hiking – Chautauqua Park is in Boulder – you can hike the flat irons …

I know this is going to sound a little “stalker-y” but I have such a girl-crush on you! Your outfits and hair always look perfect and I regularly trawl your website for inspiration! I love the pink pop of color in this look.
BTW, I used to live in Denver and would recommend a visit to Boulder and/or one of the mountain towns that are close by such as Breckenridge. Boulder itself is much more charming than Denver, and everything is very accessible via bike if you are not into being in the car constantly. Sunflower is a great place to eat!
haha – thank you! thank you for the suggestions, too! I will definitely keep that stuff in mind!
I love your look, you look amazing!
