I confess, I actually wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago but we didn’t have a chance to get pictures before I spilled on it, so I decided to wear it again! This time I ate lunch at home before getting dressed, just in case.
This outfit makes me feel like I should be strolling around in some city in Europe while peeking into the shops that line the streets. The comfort of the sweater, skirt, and heels, are perfect for a day of sightseeing. Yes, you heard me, I said the heels are comfortable. Why? Because they are Naturalizers. I could wear these for days on end and have no issues. They are the perfect travel shoe!
Speaking of travel, Kai and I decided on St. Kitts for our upcoming vacation. We are going in July, and it’ll be the perfect re-charge for us considering it takes place when we are in the middle of our wedding season. I have a post featuring our first wedding of the season almost ready for publication, so be sure to check the photography blog later tonight!

I think this outfit is PERFECT for travel! It’s chic and comfy at the same time, and I bet you could walk hours in those shoes. I lived in Europe for four years and never wore tennis shoes in public, except to go the gym! My travel wardrobe these days definitely depends on where I’m going, but a standard ensemble for a place where I’m going to be walking a lot and it’s not too hot would be skinny jeans and tall boots with a shirt, scarf and jacket. If it were warmer, I’d wear a skirt similar to yours with ballet flats, a pretty tank, and would bring a cardigan to layer over the top. Congrats on your upcoming vacation … it sounds absolutely wonderful!
Very cute! Love the skirt/sweater combo.

I have a taste for neutral colors. This outfit is pure style
Love this outfit — every bit of it. Looks so soft and effortlessly chic! Skirts like the one you have on are a must have for travel – light, flowing and most importantly comfy. I adore my Naturalizer heels too – the only heels I own that do not hurt.
I totally agree, this is perfect for abroad. I am in love with the fresh colors of the sweater and skirt!
I’m completely head over heels for this outfit! The colors go so perfectly together and you styled this skirt so well! I think skirts of that length can be really tricky to wear but you did it flawlessly!
I am in love with this skirt! On our recent trip to Europe, I pretty much lived in a LDB I’d picked up the week prior from Target – super comfortable and slightly dressy. I feel like dressing up just a little bit helps me not look as much like a typical tourist
This outfit is so beautiful. It looks so peaceful and lovely there.

I think it’s perfect for travel! The flowy skirt is nice and relaxed, and your hair is up (but cute!) for running around.
Great look!

Not too dressy for a tourist at all! I quickly discovered that my mom’s go-to travel windsuit from when I was a kid was not appropriate anywhere but the Mid-West and probably not even there… Now I always aim to be overdressed if anything, which is hard to do in Tokyo

I love this outfit — not too dressy at all for Paris!
I wish the shoes were still available at Naturalizer! They look great!
Oh gosh. I am in love with this outfit. The colours are all gorgeous.. as is that skirt. It is perfect for travelling. You’re right – it would fit in perfectly over here in Europe. Southern france of wandering around venice. I don’t think it’s too dressy. You want to enjoy yourself and feel good on holiday.. so a lovely outfit is surely going to help with that. Love it!! (now to try and find something similar for myself
)
Love that outfit, and so glad you decided on St. Kitts! I would definitely wear this outfit to dinner, when it tends to cool down when the sun goes down.

It’s perfect, but I always wear flats or converse while being a tourist..
Love this look for sightseeing (i’m planning for a big trip to paris here: http://www.voyage-on.blogspot.com/2012/05/trip-planning.html ) but my one question always is – how do the shoes feel?
I’m a new reader, looking forward to what you post next!
You have the best detailing in your outfits…I love that the stripes on your sweater are different textures and that your hem has those charming scallops!

Thank you! Details are my favorite thing.
Adorable! Definitely not “too dressy” for a tourist. As long as you’re not wearing pajama-wear and white-soled sneakers in Europe… One of my biggest pet peeves with America tourists. Lol. I’m loving the “top knot” and bold lips too! Very chic
