Last night, the new LOFT at Breton Village had a Grand Opening Event that included 25% off, appetizers, and wine. Shopping, food, and drinks? What could be better than that? Tieka and I headed out for a girl’s night and had a blast!
I took advantage of the warm weather yet again and finally wore my Chasing Dreams Dress from Stitched + Adorned. I love this dress and have been admiring it in my closet while waiting for the perfect sunny day. I love coral and gold together so I paired with my new chain link choker from Derng, and my Sam Edelman Yasmine nude pumps with the pop of gold on the back.

I didn’t bring along my camera to the event because it’s like hauling around a brick and I wanted to be able to shop! Fortunately, there was a paparaz…photographer at the event and I got my hands on the pictures (Thanks, Sam!). Here’s a preview of the store and a recap of the event for those of you who weren’t able to make it!

Isn’t this store beautiful? All of the displays are so clean and polished. I love all the different cubbies in the wall units!

Another big piece of news (wow, this is the longest blog post ever), last night I got a text from Kai that said “I’m at the mall and I just bought you something at Gap.”
There were three things about this text that surprised me:
1. Kai was willingly at the mall.
2. Kai bought me clothing.
3. He bought it from the Gap.
Why would Kai be at the mall buying me things from the store that I get an employee discount at? Consider me confused. When I got home, I went to change into pajamas and saw a plastic Gap bag with a box inside sitting on the bed. “Okay,” I thought, “this must be what he bought me at the mall … but why did he put it in a box and a bag?” BECAUSE THE BAG WAS HIDING THE MACBOOK PRO THAT WAS INSIDE. THAT’S WHY.
And that’s also why I have the sneakiest, best husband ever.
“Because you earned it”, he said.

Wow, Breton Village has really improved since I was last there! When I was maybe 14, I won a writing contest they hosted, where the prize was a gift certificate…I remember that there was really nothing I wanted to buy because it was so deserted. I’m glad to see it’s turning around. That store looks so fresh and inviting!
