After a productive day, Kai and I went out to dinner at the country club my dad teaches golf at. It was our fist time eating there, and I loved my ahi tuna salad! I’ve been making an effort to eat healthier …but the only problem is if I have a healthy meal, I feel that I’ve earned a less healthy snack later. For example: since I had an ahi tuna salad for dinner, you can bet I’m eating a drumstick for dessert.
We stopped at a local park and took these pictures on the way.

This braided trick is something I used to do a lot when I cut my hair short after our wedding. It’s perfect for hair lengths where the bottom pieces don’t quite make it up into a high bun. If you’re good at french braiding, this should be a cinch. Simply flip your head over, french braid, tie off, twist into a bun, and pin!
Thank you everyone for entering the Shoppalu Giveaway! The winner is:

love the necklace! Eating healthy is hard! I’ve learned to treat myself to edys frozen yogurt with strawberries
Now I’m racking my brain as to what similarly styled dress I have that I can wear open over skinny trousers tomorrow to work. And obsessing over where to find a similar necklace. If you’d like to mail it to Oregon, I’d be happy to take it off your hands. =)
Your hair is just beautiful! I’m so in awe of what you’ve done!!!

I could not agree more with how I also justify a sweet treat after a healthy meal. Why do our brains work that way? American culture, maybe…
Anyway. I adore your tattoo. It looks to be Hebrew. What is its meaning/translation?
it means “the lord who loves”.
Your hair, as usual, looks flawless and fabulous. I wish you were closer so I could have you do my wedding hair. I love your vest and how you belted it. It looks great with the sparkly necklace! And I always reward myself with a drumstick–it all works out in the end after all.
Everything in this outfit is so pretty! Love the hair, the open dress and the shoes! You’ve nailed it!
When you said you would be eating a drumstick for dessert, I immediately imagined you were eating a fried chicken leg for dessert. Chicken’s healthy right? Also, those shoes…! I just ordered them with my $50 reward. Nothin’ like a free pair of shoes!
puppy chow goes well with ghosts. that shirt is adorbs.
Wow! I absolutely love what you’ve done with your hair – and you make it sound SO easy
I guess I have to brush up on my french braiding skills!!
