Ghost Hunters.

This afternoon after work I came home with the intention of sorting through a wedding and doing a couple
of blog posts … until the wedding wasn’t done uploading and my computer was out of batteries. I took that
as a pretty sure fire sign that I was meant to relax and watch Ghost Hunters for a bit. Nothing too crazy
happened in the episodes that I saw today though. Anyone watch it? Are there better episodes out there
with more unexplained happenings?

When we were house searching we knew we wanted an older house but when we found our current home and
read that it was 140 years old … I did have some reservations. Don’t you all think that paranormal activity
should be included in the seller’s disclosure? I’d rather have a leaky roof than angry spirits. Seriously.
The good news is – so far no ghosts. Whew! Kai and I are going to do some more research on our home this
winter. We hope the Grand Rapids library will have some records!

So, here I am, standing in front of our ghost-less house in the outfit that I wore yesterday.

Outfit Breakdown:
Shirt: J.Crew Factory Store / Necklace: Sugar and Fig /Watch: c/o The Trendy Boutique
Belt: Thrifted / Jeans: Gap / Boots: c/o Wanted

Hair:
Large sections loosely wrapped around large curling iron.

It was really nice to have some time to relax this afternoon. I still have a ton to catch up on but I am feeling
just a little recharged (much like my computer … since I’m obviously using it right now). What are you
going to do this year to enjoy the fall? I had my first Robinette’s pumpkin spice doughnut of the season!

this may sound slightly creepy… which is why the “anonymous” is required :) I was driving today and I was stopped at a stop light. I look to my right and see this cute house. I say to myself, “wow, that’s a cute house. I really like it. and it looks really familiar…” then I had to think for a second and then I saw the numbers on the door and knew right away, “THAT’S KAYLEY HEERINGA’S HOUSE!” and it’s even more beautiful in real life :)

don’t worry, I won’t camping outside your house waiting for you to leave just so I can see what outfit you picked today! it’s a good thing you have a fashion blog…

hahaha! i love this. i have people tell me that they drive by my house regularly all the time. no big deal. it probably would have been beneficial to creep on me today because i’m not blogging my outfit. too bad! ;)

Love the denim on denim. My only phobia in life is the afterlife. I don’t care if I found my dream house, if something creaked funny, I’d high tail it out of there so fast! I can’t even watch those ghost shows and I was duped into watching Paranormal Activity. I slept with my hall light on for weeks.

Oh, and I love this outfit. I’m not brave enough to try denim on denim, but you pull it off wonderfully.

great boots- looked @ the website and was surprised to find that they aren’t actual leather, they have a great worn-in leather look to them. i have similar pieces for this outfit and i can’t wait to try it out!

  15. I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching ghost shows (like ghost hunters, ghost adventures, paranormal witness, ect..) and Im always terrified once I go to bed..haha if you truly want something scary, watch paranormal witness (comes on after ghost hunters) they tend to have alot of really scary ‘amityville’ style haunts…
Ive already told my husband that I will not move into an older house with out staying there a few nights..any thing that goes bump in the night, and Im outta there..
Its pretty surprising that you do not have anything in that house, because of the history that comes with it..but very awesome, because it is a BEAUTIFUL house..
