Dinner and Outfits and Things.

Tonight for dinner I made a classic Vandenberg family dish. Taco salad. All ya gotta do is brown some ground
beef on the stove and then create a buffet of toppings – lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, green pepper,
mushrooms, and, of course, Ortega. By the way … taco sauce, totally a condiment. Add tortilla
chips if ya want but I just eat it like a salad with a fork. Delish.

The outfit I am featuring in this post is what I wore to work. I knew we were coming to the end of warm
weather so even though I haven’t shaved my legs in the last two days, I decided I had to wear a dress. My
hair is mostly blonde, okay? Stop gagging over there.

I got all dressed this morning and then walked out the door and it was freezing! AH! Luckily it was warm
enough at work … but the minute I got home to prepare my grocery list, I put on jeans and sweater. And
can you believe what Kai said to me? He said that he liked the second outfit better and that I should
have blogged it instead. So I guess that means what I’m wearing right now might need to get a re-wear … as
soon as I wash the Ortega off my cardigan.

This mini session took place after work and after a nap. In fact, I didn’t even look in the mirror before these
pictures were taken … I had just woken up. I know that’s pretty risky but you know me, I like to live on the edge.

Outfit Breakdown:
Dress: LOFT / Scarf (worn as belt): Vintage, secondhand / Belt: Thrifted / Shoes: Gap / Earrings: Coppersun Boutique

Hair:
Twisted on side, pinned. Pulled into side braid, tied off.

I’m watching Dear Genevieve on DVR (again) and she is decorating a New York apartment … and I’m dying
over here. A wall of shelves with Moroccan details, light pink walls, lattice, needlepoint, mirror collage,
tapestries, swoonswoonswoonyswoon. Can I haaave it?

Alright, well I’m going to grab a drumstick – before you picture me gnawing on a big ol’ turkey leg, I’m talking
about the ice cream cone kind, ya weirdo – and finish watching this amazing episode.
