Birthday Boys!

First things first:  happy birthday to my Daddy! He is, like, a million years old today but I love him anyway.

A few things about my dad:

He has unwavering, high expectations. This always drove me crazy but has really helped me become
who I am today.
He is handsome. Back in grade school one of my friends told me she thought my dad was hot. I
almost died.
He likes to fish.
When driving by a produce stand, 9 times out of 10 he will stop … and buy a lot of corn on the cob.
He is a hard worker.
He is a great dresser and loves to tell people about Sidewalk Ready.
He is a golf teacher and currently holds the title of Golf Teacher of the Year in the state of Michigan.
This is the fourth year he has earned this title, which is the most any one person has won the award
in the state.
He was also nominated for National Teacher of the Year (I know, right?).
He is an awesome dancer!
He loves talent shows like American Idol and America’s Got Talent.
His favorite snack is this amazing caramel corn that my mom makes. I’ll post the recipe someday.
He loves music and going to concerts.
He’s a great man and I am proud to say he’s my father!
Happy birthday, Dad!

As much as I would have loved to go to Pentwater (an adorable beach town up north) with dad and
Layne, I had to go to work this afternoon. I wore a dress and realized about halfway through my
work shift that it is quite a bit shorter than I originally thought. I probably won’t be wearing this to work
again … primarily because I have to work with my arms raised while I do hair and it makes it even
shorter. Oops!

Outfit Breakdown:
Blouse: Gap / Dress: Target / Shoes: c/o Wanted / Purse: Gift / Necklace: Gift

Hair:
Pulled back in horizontal sections, twisted, pinned … wrapped into a bun, pinned.

On another note, today was also my parents’ dog’s birthday. He is the same age as my dad (in dog
years, duh). I think that’s a pretty funny coincidence.

I remember seeing a picture of your dad back when you posted some pics of your sister’s prom or something, and yes, he is totally hot. (Hope that isn’t disturbing to read now like it was in grade school!) Great outfit, as always! Huge fan of Sidewalk Ready–been reading for awhile now!
