All About Scarves – My First Video.

Today I used a mannequin as inspiration … well, a picture of a mannequin that is.

I like the mix of the scarf with the necklaces a lot. I worked at the salon today so I kept
the bling to a minimum – I’ll go all the way like the above image some other time. But
I did wear a scarf and necklace at the same time which is something most people
consider to be an either/or sort of thing.

It seemed much warmer to me when I left work that it was when we took this picture.
Freezing again!

I am also enduring a headache right now that may be due to the fact that some of my
hair was pulled way too tight all afternoon.

This is my, more simple, version of the necklace/scarf mannequin. A single strand of
costume pearls.

My parents went to Chicago last weekend with some friends and stopped in Michigan City
to go to the outlet mall on the way home. My mom had just seen my belt tutorial post
so she picked up this zebra striped belt at the J. Crew outlet for me. How cute is she??

These earrings were a gift from Kai. They are “peacock” pearls, which is a form of Tahitian
pearls in the color known as “peacock green”. Kai is great at giving gifts. He knows me
so well! I love the unique quality to these earrings. :)

Outfit Breakdown:

Now for the real reason I wore a scarf today! I received this email not too long ago:

“Kayley -  love the belt tutorial.  How about a scarf tutorial?  I always feel very self-conscious
wearing scarves because i’m not sure if i’m tying them right.”

So in response to this email, I have recorded my first video tutorial! I always feel like
I look silly when I watch videos of myself … but this was the easiest way to show some
of my scarf-tying methods. Hope this helps (and try not to laugh at me)!
